AACT is now accepting nominations for the National AACTFest Adjudication Panel for AACTFest 2027. We are seeking strong, experienced candidates to serve as adjudicators.
A total of three main adjudicators and one alternate will be selected.

Who should be nominated?
National Adjudicators should bring a global view of theatre, with experience across acting, directing, and technical theatre.
- The ability to watch a 60-minute performance and respond with clear, cohesive feedback that recognizes achievement and identifies room for growth
- A balance of formal adjudication training and documented positive feedback
- An understanding of the value of community theatre and its contribution to the arts
- An accessible, engaging communication style and a collaborative approach
Preparation & expectations
- Read all twelve festival plays and complete background research to understand style and genre
- Participate in two two-hour workshops outlining AACTFest adjudication goals and expectations
- Assess each production on its own merits, without comparison to previous productions
