South West Theatre Conference (SWTC) will take place in Carlsbad, New Mexico – April 10 – 11, 2026 at the Carlsbad Performing Arts Center
. 
Theatres from Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas will gather to present plays that will be adjudicated by theatre professionals. SWTC will also have workshops and networking events throughout the weekend. 

This is an invitational year – every state can send up to 2 shows to participate. If you are in AK, LA, NM or OK – and are interested in participating – please contact the VP of Festivals – Dennis Yslas (dennis@texastheatres.org) to confirm. Texas has a yearly advancing festival – so the shows advancing to SWTC are selected by adjudicators.
