Structure/Regions
The American Association of Community Theatre (AACT) is composed of both organizational and individual members, all of whom are part of one of 11 designated Regions (see map). Each Region is led by a dedicated Regional Representative, who serves on the AACT Board of Directors. This structure ensures that theatres and members from across the country and U.S. military overseas are connected and represented, fostering collaboration and support within the community theatre network.
Region I: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont
Region II: Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania
Region III: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin
Region IV a: Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia
Region IV b: North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands
Region V: Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota
Region VI: Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas
Region VII: Colorado, Montana, Utah, Wyoming
Region VIII: Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Guam
Region IX: Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Washington

Governance & Leadership
AACT is a nonprofit national organization governed by an elected board consisting of 30 voting members. This board includes 8 Officers, 12 Members at Large, and 10 Regional Representatives, all of whom are also individual members of AACT.
